Preview, Publish, and Form Submissions

Use preview before publishing changes. Publishing makes content visible according to the collection rules, selected site, date settings, and entry status.

  1. Open the entry.
  2. Save your changes.
  3. Use Preview.
  4. Check the page in the selected site.
  5. Review mobile-sized layouts when headings, cards, or buttons changed.
  1. Confirm the selected site is correct.
  2. Confirm required fields are filled.
  3. Check images, links, categories, and downloads.
  4. Publish the entry.
  5. Open the public URL after publishing.

Unpublish an entry when it should no longer be public but should remain in the Control Panel.

Before unpublishing, check whether other pages link to it. If a public page links to unpublished content, visitors may see a missing page.

Posts use Release Date. A future release date keeps the post private until that date. If a scheduled post does not appear as expected, check the release date, entry status, and category.

  1. Open Forms in the Control Panel.
  2. Choose the form.
  3. Open Submissions.
  4. Review or export entries according to the team process.

Handle personal data carefully. Do not copy form submissions into public docs, issue comments, or screenshots.

  1. Correct site selected.

  3. Links and downloads tested.
  4. Images load and crop well.
  5. Sensitive or personal data is not exposed.
  6. Another editor has reviewed high-risk political content.
